Park Rules

Adult guests are responsible for the health and safety of their visitors and/or children. The bluff above the river, the trail to it and the river itself can be very dangerous – please be careful.

  • Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am – no loud parties or unnecessary noise or bright lights.

  • Check out: 11 a.m.

  • Check in: 1 p.m.  No Check-in after 8 pm for safety reasons. NOTE: If you are traveling from the Bay Area - ALLOW PLENTY OF EXTRA TIME. If you arrive past 8 pm you may have to wait until morning to park in the park.

  • Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm – please respect the managers’ privacy after office hours, UNLESS YOU HAVE AN URGENT MATTER AND YOU NEED THEIR ASSISTANCE.

  • PET POLICY: Pets on site are a privilege – Pets on site are a privilege – do not let them run loose or leave them unattended. THEY MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES. No aggressive dog breeds are allowed in the park (Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, Rottweilers, German Sheperds, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Wolf-Hybrids, Cane Corsos, Mastiffs) Excessive barking or failure to promptly clean up after your pet will result in a request that you vacate the park. SIERRA COUNTY CODE REQUIRES ALL DOGS TO BE LEASHED.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY:  Sierra Skies RV Park’s minimum cancellation fee is $25.00. Cancellations made within 14 days of scheduled check-in are subject to a fee equal to 50% of the reservation charge. Cancellations without 48 hour prior notice will be charged the full reservation.

    Some reservations can be self-canceled – check your confirmation email.

  • REGARDING WILDFIRE: Please note that wildfires and the resulting smoke are, unfortunately, a common occurrence. Cancellations made less than 7 days from scheduled arrival due to smoke or fire are given camp credit for a future visit.

  • The office phone is off-limits except for emergencies.

  • No Tent Camping allowed, RVs only.

  • No clothesline or tarp lean-tos in the guest RV spaces. No tent camping in the park. A clothesline is provided behind the office for your use.

  • No construction or landscaping allowed at your site. Do not create tripping hazards with hook-ups. No political or religious signs, banners, or flags (a USA flag is ok), bright lights (string lights are ok), or no horns, bells, or other loud noise-producing instruments or decorations.

  • Please keep your campsite clean & orderly at all times. You are responsible for your guests as well.

  • No fish cleaning on the premises except in the fish sink or inside your unit. Bears love fish parts – zip-lock the guts, etc., and put them in the dumpster.

  • RV site rates are based on 4 guests, 1 RV unit, 1 vehicle per site. There is a maximum of six (6) occupants per site. There is a $5.00 Additional charge per extra guest 12 years+ / per day. There is a $5 fee per day for an extra vehicle - NO GUARANTEES ON SPACE AVAILABLE FOR EXTRA VEHICLES.

  • No loud parties.

  • Restrooms and shower facilities are for registered park guests only. No exceptions.

  • NO OPEN WOOD FIRES – CONTAINED, PORTABLE PROPANE FIRE PITS ONLY. No fire rings at site or at the riverside. No fire rings at your site or at the riverside. We do not allow wood or pit fires, or charcoal barbecues. Propane pits and cookstoves, only are allowed.  

  • All garbage goes in dumpsters only – Unfortunately, there is no recycling at this time, feel free to take your recyclables home.  Do not be an attractive nuisance by leaving food out. DO NOT FEED THE BEARS ON PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE – THEY CAN NOT BE RETRAINED, AND FEEDING THEM RESULTS IN THEIR EXTERMINATION AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.

  • No gold dredging allowed on park property.

  • The speed limit is 5 mph on all park roads. DO NOT PARK IN THE ROADWAYS – THEY ARE FIRE LANES AND MUST BE KEPT OPEN. Drive on park roads only, not through sites unless by permission of management for initial access.

  • No gambling in common areas of the park.

  • Discharge of firearms or fireworks is illegal and prohibited in this park. Sierra County Code prohibits possession of ANY fireworks.

VIOLATION OF THESE RULES OR NON-PAYMENT OF RENT MAY RESULT IN REMOVAL OF YOUR RV AND POSSESSIONS PURSUANT TO CALIF CODE OF CIVIL PROCEDURE 799.2 – 799.24.
